There is a considerable focus on improving emergency management systems and related plant infrastructure to increase safety against fire. This includes items such as emergency shut-down (ESD) valves and actuators, and control and fire-fighting systems. The longer that critical resources like these remain operational and accessible, the greater the likelihood of averting catastrophe. However, the sheer ferocity of hydrocarbon fires poses major challenges. This article in Canada's Industrial Process Products & Technology magazine (https://lnkd.in/gdy_SYF)
explores the capability of enclosures offering passive fire protection - a simple and inherently reliable means of guarding against premature failure.
