A new variant of Intertec's 'Hot Box' for process sampling applications can deliver high temperatures up to 150°C in compact footprints. The boxes employ a combination of conduction and convection heating assisted by a novel air circulation system (see inset photo). This greatly simplifies installations close to process lines - minimizing sample lag time and substantially reducing the hidden costs of analyzer installations such as heated sample lines. Hot boxes are configured by Intertec to meet individual applications. This article from South Africa's EngineerIT magazine details the hot box architecture. https://lnkd.in/g95hkMj
The electric heaters are designed for hazardous area applications and employ positive temperature coefficient cartridges. As electric resistance increases with rising temperature, the heaters are self limiting, ensuring that the surface temperature will never exceed the listed temperature class.
